Editor, The Old Farmer's Almanac

Carol Connare is the 14th editor in the history of The Old Farmer’s Almanac (founded in 1792!), and the second woman to hold the title. In her role as editor, Carol oversees the development of the annual publication, working closely with writers and other editors to develop “new, useful, and entertaining matter.” She also has a hand in the preparation and production of the annual Garden Guide, The Old Farmer’s Almanac for Kids, the Almanac’s line of calendars, books, ebooks, cookbooks, and the monthly e-magazine EXTRA!

Raised in southern New Hampshire, Carol earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from University of New Hampshire, and studied writing, and rhetoric at Boston University, Stonecoast Writers’ Conference, and UMass Amherst. Carol is an avid traveler having explored many parts of North and South America and Europe in search of history, culture, and hiking. At home, she enjoys vegetable and flower gardening, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family, as well as the family dog, Jack.

Carol participates in many interviews as the Editor of The Old Farmer’s Almanac, including The Flower Podcast.
